Description

Attend this free event to meet innovative companies changing the nature of large, capital projects.

As projects grow in complexity and present greater risk, effective management and control is proving to be more challenging than ever. To improve margins its critical to make use of technological advantages as they emerge. With radical improvements in the ease with which software systems can be developed there is now a flood of innovation onto the market.

This event gives a forum to outstanding, fresh companies to present their offerings. Meet the people behind the products letting them take your questions in an audience of your peers. Each presentation will be limited to 10 minutes. After all companies have presented we will break into groups for further discussion, one-on-one demonstrations and networking. Breakfast and lunch are included.

Using his commercial and project experience, he set about creating a procurement strategy that would ensure that the Round Three Offshore Wind Programme would be delivered in a structured efficient manner. To do this involved the establishment of a Project Controls Team and introducing E-Procurement, Planning and Project Accounting Software. In a five year period, he oversaw the investment of in excess of £300 million into the Marine Sector within the Crown Estate. In October 2017 Roy left The Crown Estate and established Dragonfly Consultancy and Management

Ari Isaacs – ShapeDo – Ari consults for major construction and infrastructure projects where he has developed a deep knowledge of dispute avoidance and resolution. Tony Llewellyn – Resolex – Project controls are typically useful in identifying gaps in performance. Recognising the symptoms is one thing, but how do you then find the root cause? Large complex projects are delivered by people from a diverse range of technical, professional and cultural backgrounds. Getting team members to work effectively alongside each other is a significant challenge that is often under-appreciated. Research shows that a high proportion of project issues are interpersonal and behavioural rather than technical or commercial.

The session will explain the concept of Early Warning Signals and set out how a team leader can use up-to-date feedback data to build and maintain cohesive team behaviours and improve project performance. The key is to take some time to work out the most useful questions to ask, as they relate to a particular stage of your project. By gathering data on a periodic basis one can spot trends and identify the specific needs that need to be addressed. http://www.resolex.com/
